ABC Baby Classes
About us
Initially ABC started as a small baby swim school run by Joanne Atkin, however when Joanne met Emma McTurk, of the Splish Splash Swim School, they decided to join forces and create a brand new school together hoping to offer much more than swimming alone. Hence our new school: ABC Baby Classes was born and so far we have been able to expand and grow offering more swimming classes in a variety of locations. In the near future ABC hopes to offer more than just swimming incorporating every element of the parent and child journey.
The range of swimming classes available are designed to take you and your child from birth to approximately four years. Our methods are designed to create an excellent foundation for the child's future in and out of the water, promoting safe practices and confidence. As well as this, the classes are an ideal environment for mothers and their new babies to bond, for children to begin to socialise and for whole families to spend quality time together.
The teachers are STA, Birthlight and IAIM qualifiedand have undergone rigorous training, which is continually updated.All of qualifications adhere to a stringent code of practice and are either accredited or professionally recognised.
Charity Work
As a school we aim to give parents the opportunity to spend time with and have fun with their children through a variety of activities. We also understand that this is not always an option for everyone, so throughout the year we will be giving our support to charities that help children and families less fortunate. A couple of chosen charities are: 'Yummy Mummy', 'Essex Kids' and 'Tommy's' although we are open to suggestions.
